Hello, my name is Jesse Singh and I am a recently graduated Management Engineering student from the University of Waterloo. What is Management Engineering you may ask? Management Engineering undergraduates combine the use of analytical methods, information systems and behavioural science to study, analyze and lead projects in interdisciplinary organizations. If you have ever plugged your phone into a speaker system in order to play songs from your phone, you can understand how much of a pain that can be. This project uses a Rasberry Pi, along with a few accessories such as an LCD screen and a Bluetooth Dongle in order to fix this issue. By creating a few scripts for the BT Dongle, along with creating a customized kernel for the touchscreen, you can convert any speakers to have Bluetooth capabilities!
This project was done for the Fourth Year Design Project at the University of Waterloo. This concept was started in September 2014 and finished in May 2015. The purpose of this application is aimed to simplify the creation of events for android devices. By copying text from any source, our application can process the raw text data and find possible events using a natural language processing algorithm. Keep an eye out, this will be released on the PlayStore very soon!
